About the Event

Join us for our first Kitchen Takeover from the comfort of your own home.   Each fortnight we will hand over the keys to City Winery's incredible kitchen to another leading Chef, giving them the brief to cook whatever their heart desires and mind can come up with.

First up we are thrilled to have our good mate and highly awarded Chef Dario Manca (ITA) takeover the City Winery kitchen for a night taking our lucky diners on a culinary journey back through his heritage cooking an Italian Feast of family favourites with a modern twist.

Italian born Dario (Head Chef from Za Za Ta, Motorwagen, Pilu (SYD)) will host a four course Italian dinner with paired wines available picked by our Douglas City Winery's operation manager.

After an exciting career working at a number of Michelin starred restaurants including working with Gordon Ramsay at La Contrada, Met (Venice) and Heinz Beck (London), Dario went onto to be ranked number 6 in the world at the Barilla World Pasta Championships in 2017 and Best in Australia in 2018. 

Delivery to the Brisbane Metro only and pickup options available.  

The menu (below) has been carefully crafted as to not require significant cooking in home - simply place in the oven and serve.

Guests are invited to join us for a live stream from 6:30pm.  

Menu:  

Entree:  Mussels within impepata sauce, sour potato, black garlic sauce, pickles olives,  capers, sourdough focaccia

Second Course:  Traditional Sardinian culurgiones, potatoes & mint, tomato sauce

Third Course:  Crispy pork belly, roasted onions and potatoes, caramelized baby carrots, sultana and walnut and pickled cabbage.

Dessert: Traditional Piedmontese chocolate custard, bunet.

Requirements is an oven.  Set over four courses with paired wines available.
