We sourced the fruit for this wine from a little vineyard in Vine Vale, a sub-region of the Barossa Valley. Off a gentle slope with a north-westerly aspect and sandy soil, the fruit is consistently delicious and ripe. Rich spicy fruit (black plums, liquorice) dominates the palate with French and American oak playing a supporting role. Fine, soft tannins complete the picture. It’s a classic Aussie style, made to be slurpable now but will happily sit in the cellar for at least five years.
